YUE YIU LEUNG 1931 - 2018 Peacefully after a short illness, Yue Yiu Leung passed away in Winnipeg on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at the age of 87 at St. Boniface Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Shoi Man Leung, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sister Mona, her children, Linda (Peter), Julie (Gilbert), Connie (David), Patrick (Pauline) and Helen (Lonn), her 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Born in Toi Sun, China, Mom was devoted to her family and took pride in watching them grow and flourish. Having supported her husband and children in multiple family restaurant businesses over the years, she had a generous spirit and her work ethic was unparalleled. She was a strong, dedicated and caring woman who loved to laugh, and who lived her life by always prioritizing the needs of her children before her own. Mom's greatest joy was spending time with her family, but she also loved cooking, gardening, sewing and embroidery. In retirement Mom enjoyed travelling and visiting her children and grandchildren in Ottawa, Vancouver, and El Paso, Texas. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Boulevard. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chinese United Church, 281 Pacific Avenue. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens.
