Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryNIKOLAOS (NICK) TOUFANIDIS It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nick Toufanidis on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Grace Hospital. Nick was predeceased by his parents; wife Voula; son Dimitri and sisters, Stella and Sophia. He will greatly be missed by his son Ted; grandchildren, Victoria and Nicholas; brother Kosta; sister-in-law, brother-in-law and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Nick was born July 20, 1925 in Kastorion, Greece. He immigrated to Canada in 1956 with goals of creating a good life for his family. He worked at a few of Winnipeg's finest restaurants, including Andrews, The Prime Rib Restaurant, Beef Eater Restaurant and Matheos. Nick loved spending time in his garden, going to church and volunteering in the Greek community, but most of all spending time with his family and friends. Nick will be remembered for his easy-going, dependable and kind nature. The family would like to thank the staff at Charleswood Care Centre and Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. Prayers will be held Thursday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2255 Grant Ave. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the same location with Rev. Fr. Konstantinos Tsiolas officiating. Interment will follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com

The AHEPA Family extends deepest sympathies to the family. Nick Toufanidis was a devoted member and generously served the Order with kindness in various capacities for over 37 years. His support for our many community events from Folklorama to the Greek Fest are deeply appreciated and contributed to the fulfillment of the ideals of Hellenism and philanthropy.
