INGE KIRSCH (nee SCHALLER) Inge Kirsch passed away after a lengthy battle with COPD, at the age of 78. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Allan, in 2010, after sharing more than 51 years together. She is survived by her two daughters, Michele (Tim) and Jacqueline (Paula) and by sister-in-law Penny (Eddy) and special friends, Kenda and George. Inge immigrated to Canada in 1957 from Germany with her brother Heinz, without knowing any English. She taught herself English watching Coronation Street and reading Harlequin novels. She married Allan in 1959 and started her family. She was an avid swimmer, going every day until her illness. She also could be seen cycling around her bay in 10 mile increments as soon as the snow was gone. Mom and Dad enjoyed travelling together, fishing together and in later years, enjoyed gambling. Our heartfelt gratitude to Station 2, Tuxedo Villa for their kind and compassionate care of our mom. In accordance with Mom's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private family gathering has taken place.
