I just heard the terrible news of Mme. Hancox. Thinking of all the family during this difficult time, BIG hugs. Mme. Hancox was my 4th grade teacher at École St.Adolphe and was my favourite teacher. She made a strong impact in my life at such a young age. I learned some valuable lessons. 1. ALWAYS pay attention, especially when she was writing on the chalkboard 2. Girls are just as strong and smart as boys 3. Speaking French and continuing to speak French will get you far In our classroom, we had a “coin de nature”; LOVED the iguana HATED the tarantula. She would always have the tarantula’s skin displayed on a styrofoam plate and EVERY time I approached her desk to ask about homework, I. Would. Scream. Very sorry to hear about Mme. Hancox; she was a wonderful teacher who taught both of our children at École St. Adolphe School. She was also a great presence who was very involved in our parish.
