EDWARD MAKUS It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our husband and father, Edward, on June 30, 2018 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by his parents, Julius and Wilhelmina, sisters, Elsie and Shirley and brother Harry. He leaves behind Margaret, his wife of 69 years, and daughter Shelly. He will be missed by many. Dad was born and raised in the Interlake region of Manitoba. He moved to Winnipeg in his teens and before long was working at Paulin Chambers, where he was employed for 48 years until its closing in 1991. Dad was an avid sports fan, as a spectator and participant. He played, coached and managed baseball and fastball, curled, golfed and truly enjoyed bowling, which he was determined to continue this fall. A sincere thanks to all those very special people who have helped Mom and I through this trying time. In keeping with Dad's wishes, there will be no service. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550
