IRENE SABINA DREW April 17, 1923 - July 4, 2018 It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of our Mother, Grandmother, Auntie and Friend, Irene Drew on 4th of July at Grace Hospice. Predeceased by her husband Jack, mother and father Joseph and Pauline Klein, brother Fred and sisters, Elsie, Sabina, June and Lill. Survived by her daughter Sandy (Tom), Kansas City, son Bob (Gerrie), Winnipeg and son Randy (Colleen) also in Winnipeg. Born in Killaly, Saskatchewan, she lived in many small rural towns growing up. Later, she met the love of her life, Jack and they married in 1942. Irene entered the workforce and worked over 20 years at Motor Coach Industries. After retiring, she devoted much of her time as a loving caregiver for her husband Jack and her sister Lill. Many summers were spent with family and friends at the Bird Lake cottage. Irene's interests included, family, cooking, reading and she had a great love of cats. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service was held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Craig Street Cats, 16 - 1421 St. James Street, Winnipeg, R3H 0Y9.
