RUIZHI XIONG Suddenly, on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at St. Boniface Hospital, Ruizhi Xiong passed away at the age of 89 years. Ruizhi will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Jianhui Chen, daughter Wei Xiong (Xi Zhou), sons, Li Xiong (Peng Wu) and Qi Xiong (Lichi Wan), grandchildren: Nina Zhou (Dylan Girard), Colin Xiong, Tony Zhou, Edgar Xiong, brother Yaozhong Xiong and his family, sister-in-law Jianxia Chen and her family, brother-in-law Dehua Chen and his family. Ruizhi loved listening to Chinese Opera, and was a veracious reader. He had a heart of gold, was very generous to his family, friends and he truly loved being a family man and a devoted husband. He was a man of integrity and a true gentleman that many admired and aspired to be. A celebration of Ruizhi's life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital as well as the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service that assisted the family at their time of need. In lieu of monetary donations, please simply attend the celebration of Ruizhi's life with family and friends to pay your respects.
