Date of Passing: Jul 14, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID (BUD) FAY It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David (Bud) Fay on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Concordia Hospital. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sheila, his son Cameron, his grandchildren, Olivia, Madison and Brady, also his sister Louise and brother Russ, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends and relatives. Bud was predeceased by his parents, Elsie and David Fay, as well as his older sister Doraine Mercer. Bud was born in Winnipeg on October 10, 1940. He survived a number of storms in his lifetime but maybe the one that was most significant to him was that he held the title of being the youngest patient in Deer Lodge Military Hospital, at the age of nine, and holds the record of being the longest time on the operating table. Bud was well known as the photographer for Cameron's sporting activities and then again for all his grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff on N3 East of Concordia Hospital for all the care they gave to Bud. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

I remember back around 1994 when I was handling the Shipping and Receiving for the annual Variety Club Telethon. David brought Cameron out for a father/son outing. David was trying very hard to give Cameron a memory he would never forget...I don't think he ever will. Great memories for them...condolences Fay family. . - Posted by: Randy Clark (Friend) on: Jul 21, 2018

My thoughts & prayers are with your families on the passing of David. I worked with him for a few terms in the 90's in customer service. May he rest in peace. - Posted by: Margaret Martin (co-worker at Revenue Canada) on: Jul 21, 2018
