Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE HOROSKO September 5, 1928 - July 17, 2018 On July 17, 2018, our dear sister and aunt, Sophie, passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre. Sophie was born on September 5, 1928, in Garson, MB. After finishing Normal School in Winnipeg she taught at Birdtail, MB and at Luxton and Riverview Schools in Winnipeg. Later on Sophie worked at Eaton's Watch and Jewelry Department and other retail stores. Sophie was a devout Catholic and 'prayed without ceasing'. She was a secular member of the Franciscan Order. Predeceased by parents Andrew and Anna and brothers Nick and John, Sophie will be sadly missed by sisters Mary and Doris. Also mourning her loss are nieces Norma, Michele, Luisa, Marisa; nephew Anders; their children Conrado, Jay, Monina, Raoul, Priscilla, Thomas and Christina; great-great-nieces Riley and Julianne; and great-great-nephews Ben, Coen and Rook. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 23, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vital Parish, 1629 Pembina Highway, with Fr. Colin Peterson officiating. Internment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff on 3W at Riverview Health Centre for their exceptional loving and professional care of our beloved Sophie. We cherish so many beautiful memories of Sophie from her many visits to Mom and Dad's at Shoal Lake ( Frank and Anne Bart).
