TOM LEESON It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Tom Leeson on July 24, 2018 at the age of 64 years. He will be lovingly missed by Holly; his children, Jason (Karen) and Corey (Kerri); grandchildren, Samantha (Kael), Tye (Brooke), Tia, Evan, Noah, and Laura; and great-grandson Liam. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Barry (Anne) and Brent (Debbie); the Belyk family, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Tom was predeceased by his parents, Dick and Lovie, and his brother Daryl. Tom was born and raised in Transcona. He started his career in the family business at Red River Messenger before moving to the Winnipeg Free Press. His entrepreneurial spirit then led him to purchase the Dallas General Store in Dallas, Manitoba in 1995. Tom was not only a storekeeper but became a valued member of the community and friend to many in Dallas and the surrounding area for the last 23 years. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., on Monday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. To honour his memory, in lieu of flowers, friends may make a donation to a charity of their choice. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

Even though Tom left the Free Press years ago, we kept contact. Tom was so kind-hearted and always willing to listen...and just didn't want to let go of his stake in our office Lotto 649 pool. Rest easy Tom. I'll miss you. - Posted by: Linda Ericsson (Former co-worker at WFP) on: Jul 30, 2018

It is with the deepest sadness that have to say good bye to my Dad. We had so many good times together that I will cherish forever. I remember when I was a little boy my Dad would always ask me "who's your best buddy?", I would always reply "you are Dad". I am gonna miss all the laughs we have shared, so until we meet again, good bye to my Dad and best buddy forever. - Posted by: Corey Leeson (Son) on: Jul 28, 2018
