PETER DAWSON Peter passed away very unexpectedly in the early morning hours of June 12, 2018. He leaves behind family in Yorkshire, England and his wife Angie, and son Patrick in Winnipeg. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Peter's ashes will be laid to rest at his home, amongst the trees that he planted. A celebration and remembrance of Peter's life will be held on Friday, August 10, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Oak Hammock Marsh. Friends are graciously invited to come and share in memories and conversation as Peter and Dewey take that final jump and ride off into the sunset.

Peter was my co-worker and mentor plus we became great friends. Peter got me involved in Ducks Unlimited back in ‘86 and showed me how to ride horses and love life. He became a close friend to my family and we all loved him. We shared many great times at his property which included lobster roasts and corn cookouts on his amazing property. So long my friend, mentor… we had some very amazing times at your farm and elsewhere. My condolences to the family. Peter was one of the nicest most generous gentleman I’ve ever my. I would like to extend my condolences to Peter's wife and family after being very shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. I met him many years ago through horses and ran into him again the last couple of years and was happy to hear he still rode and had horses. Always a debonair, friendly man. I am so sorry to read about Peter's passing. I worked with Peter at Domtar - I remember when you and Peter were married, and when Patrick was born - he was so proud!! I'm glad we ran into each other a couple of years ago at the Downs. He was a true description of a kind caring gentleman. My deepest sympathy.
