KAY (KATHLEEN) FUKUMURA (nee McNEIL) June 22, 1934 - July 2, 2018 Suddenly on July 2, Kay passed at age 84. She is survived by her daughter Christine; son Blair; sisters-in-law, Margaret McNeil, Rosanne Yoshimasu (Paul), Clare Matsuo (Sam); niece Janet (Russ); and nephew Frank (Rhonda), as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She is predeceased by husband Tony, son Luke, brother Pat, mother Christine and father Murdoch McNeil. Kay was born in Winnipeg, was an active member of the Legion of Mary, in St. Edward's Parish and at the Franciscan Friary, where she was a member of the Third Order. Kay was a daycare provider and welcomed many children into her home. A funeral mass was held at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, in Mississauga, ON, on July 13, 2018. Interment of her ashes will be on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 3:30 p.m., at Assumption Cemetery in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. A reception will immediately follow, and we welcome everyone at her memorial mass that evening at 7:00 p.m., St. Gerard Church, 45 Foster Street.
