ALLAN BISSET April 17, 1930 - September 8, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Allan Bisset, at St. Boniface Hospital, in Winnipeg, MB, on September 8, 2018, at the age of 88 years. Allan will be sadly missed by his wife of 55 years, Ruth (Parker) Bisset; son Barry (Carla) Bisset, Shaun and daughter Joan (Bruce) Haugh, Jenna. Left to cherish Allan's memory are his sisters, Evelyn Lahure, Margaret Wood, Chrissy Malcolm, sister-in-law Betty Bisset and their families; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, their families and many friends. He was predeceased by his father William and mother Johanna (McKenzie) Bisset; his brother William Bisset. Allan was born in Inverness, Scotland. In 1955, at the age of 25, with his homemade suitcase, he made the long journey to Canada joining his older brother William and sister Evelyn, who arrived a few years earlier. He settled in Morden, MB and worked at what is now known as Morden Research Centre for four years. During that time, he met his lifelong partner, Ruth. They were married in 1963 and had two children. In 1961, Allan embarked a new career as an independent Sales Consultant at Texas Refinery Corporation and worked there right up until his passing. He won numerous awards during his long career, as well as the respect of management and his peers. Allan really loved his work and considered his many customers his close friends. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the great care they provided to Allan. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. A celebration of his life will take place on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Calvary Temple Church in the Buntain Chapel, 440 Hargrave St. at 11:00 a.m. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com
