CAREY BRENNAN LALOR January 7, 1982 - September 29, 2018 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carey Lalor in his 36th year, on Saturday, September 29. Carey passed away peacefully at the home of his girlfriend, Amanda Ross. He will forever be remembered as a beloved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, cousin and friend. Carey's memory will be cherished by his mother, Robbi Lee (Mitchell), his father, Kevin Lalor, his brother, Kelley Lalor (Angela), his nieces, Melody and Adella Lalor, his aunt, Katherine Neufeld, his uncle, Ron Lee (Gail), and cousins, Myles Peake and Riley Peake. Also left to mourn his passing is his girlfriend, Amanda Ross, her daughter, Kristy Ross, and his many friends. Special acknowledgement to his friend and cousin, John Gill and the other members of Carey's extended family in British Columbia. He was predeceased by his loving grandparents, George and Helen Lalor, and James and Peggy Lee. Carey joined the Lalor family in January of 1982 and the world was never quite the same in the years to follow. As his many good and loyal friends will attest to he could always bring a smile to your face with his unique personality and brand of humour. He adored his grandpa and spent many enjoyable days along the Winnipeg River in their never ending quest to catch a fish. Most of all Carey loved cars of all makes and models. Buying them, selling them, and in his early years, demolishing them. It's rumoured that he owned over 50 cars in his 36 year life. Carey was a big man in many respects not least of which was the size of his heart. He loved his girlfriend Amanda and he loved his family and he would go the distance for his loyal life time friends. The world is a lesser place with his passing, but the hard part of his journey is done and he can finally be at peace forever with his favourite fishing partner. "If ever there is tomorrow when we're not together...there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think but the most important thing is, even if we're apart...we'll always be with you." A.A. Milne In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society. A celebration of Carey's life will take place on Saturday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB.

Our sympathy to you and your family, Kevin. Although I never met Carey, I remember listening to George, years ago, telling stories about the times the two of them shared. He was both flummoxed and delighted with whatever Carey had done, and he could hardly get the story out for laughing! I don't remember the story; I just remember George's pleasure in telling us about Carey. - Posted by: Pamela McLeod and family (friend) on: Oct 18, 2018

My condolences to the Lalor family. I met Carey approximately 22/23 years ago thru my son Ryan. He will be dearly missed by myself but mostly by Ryan. Carey had a quirky sense of humour. And whenever he came over to visit he never missed an opportunity to tease me to the fullest. Carey always showed up when it seemed to be meal time. And we never turned him away. He was Ryan's rock. We loved Carey for who he was. - Posted by: Lucille jeanson (Acquaintance of Carey (Ryan Jeanson's mother)) on: Oct 08, 2018

I am so grateful we got to have a quick visit with Carey this summer. We were so pleased to hear/see how well he was doing. He told us of interests that filled his life, and some of his hopes to come. We both shared an interest in our families history. Carey had fully adopted us, and all that we came from. I was looking forward to enjoying some time with Carey next time we would be in Winnipeg and checking out all the treasures he was taking care of. I am disappointed we won’t be able to spend that time. Carey will be missed. - Posted by: Suzette Tanasiuk (Cousin (once removed)) on: Oct 02, 2018

Larger than life. That’s how I will remember Carey. He filled a room even when he was a little guy. The Lalor family is full of characters and he fit right in. Carey will be missed. He’s with George now and that’s fitting. I just hope he waits a few days before asking to borrow the car. - Posted by: Darcy Lalor (Cousin ) on: Oct 02, 2018
