Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID BRIAN CHALMERS In sadness we announce the sudden passing of David, September 27, 2018. Remaining to cherish David's memory, his common-law wife of 31 years, Judy, his children, Reece (Melanie), Shelly (Meghan), grandchildren, Isla and Cole, stepchildren, Dustin (Donna), Jennifer (Gordy), and sister, Mavis (Manfred). David was predeceased by his sister, Linda, and brothers, Robert and Alfie. David served the City of Winnipeg as a Police Officer for 36 years. After retirement, he remained a member of the Winnipeg Police Veteran's Association for the rest of his life. David enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, especially his garden. He was always proud of his harvest. He could grow the best cucumbers that he always shared with family and friends. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. No memorial service will take place at David's request. David always kept you on your toes, but you always knew where you stood with him, nothing phoney, that's what I most liked most about him! I will always miss the conversations with him, It didn't matter what topic, but politics were the best! OMG, get him on Trump or TruDOH! It was a blast! He had a kind heart, he would always have a thoughtful gift for you when you visited, bring you breakfast, and the most amazing cucumbers! I will miss him.
