DAVID FREDDRICK MAYOR David Freddrick Mayor, was born January 9, 1944, and he died September 30, 2018. Dave was a loving husband, father and grandfather who had a wonderful laugh and quick smile. Born and raised on Tremblay Street in St. Boniface to Emily (Rawlings) and Fredrick, with his siblings, Terry, Carol and Rilla. In his long and dedicated career he worked as an accountant for several corporations and was especially proud of his involvement in the building of, and management of, the Elm Creek Inland Terminal. Dave gave back to the community in many ways. He was a Scout leader, a volunteer fireman, a Rotarian at St. Boniface Rotary and a founder of the southeast Manitoba Rotary group. He was treasurer for the Rainbow Society (now Dream Factory) for several years and until his death Dave was a volunteer roadie and executive member of the Sisters of The Holy Rock and treasurer at Gordon-King Memorial United Church (GKM). Dave was a long-term Bomber Fan. In his spare time, he loved travel, the outdoors and going on birding trips with Pat. A celebration of Dave's life will be held at GKM, 127 Cobourg Ave., Tuesday, October 9 at 2:00 p.m. Please dress in bright colours and possibly a Church Lady hat or a festive tie, scarf or socks. He would have liked that. Dave was loved and respected by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
