Rest In Peace my friend, we had many adventures together in our early years. I still remember taking the bus to Selkirk to go hunting one day, making our way out to netley marsh and ending up spending part of that night sleeping in an outhouse because our ride back to Winnipeg wasn’t happening until the next day. We were somewhat crazy in our youth for sure. - Posted by: Christopher Wishart (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2018

I new Donny from the first day of school. Went to school with him, Played with him, got drunk with him, chased girls around roxy park (and any where else there were girls) with him. Some of the fondest memories in my life have his face attached to them. I'll miss you Don, and will think of you always. Save a chair at the pub for me and we'll quaf a few cold ones, I won't be long. Take care. - Posted by: W. Matt Dunlop (Friend) on: Oct 14, 2018

Wishing you peace my friend, in a place with no pain and suffering. A place where the trains role down the tracks, but make no noise. One day, I will look you up on that train, join you and reminisce the good times again. Until then! Wayne... - Posted by: Wayne Shewchuk (Good Friend) on: Oct 13, 2018

Don was one of my best friends when we started at the Railway nearly 40 years ago. We lived together as bachelors, we did everything together and Don always had my back. When we were laid off in the 70's, we worked together out of Brandon and Minnedosa until we could return to Winnipeg. What a road trip. When I got married Don was my best man, he was truly a best friend. Unfortunately we got older, our busy lives took up our time and we sort of lost touch. Those memories of all the things we did together when we were younger will stay with me forever. Rest in peace Snapper, I'll see you on the other side. - Posted by: Harvey Makoski (Friend) on: Oct 13, 2018
