JACQUELINE BENSON February 2, 1943 - October 11, 2018 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom and grandma Jackie, at the age of 75 years after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to forever cherish Jackie's memory are her son Robert; daughter Debbie (Norm) and her grandchildren, Michael (Chantal), Kimberlee and Katelyn. She was predeceased by her loving husband and soulmate, Mike (2009) and her parents, Rose and Art Gibson. Jackie had worked at Broadway Florist and also as a Secretary for a Realty Firm prior to her marriage to Mike in 1963. She then chose the full time job as wife, mother and homemaker. During this time Jackie did manage to make time for being the Accountant for Corydon Hardware, the family business. Jackie's door was always open and welcomed family and friends to drop in at any time. She loved and adored her grandchildren and was frequently heard boasting about their successes as a CFL player, a recent Grade 12 graduate and a volleyball star! Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway with Rev. Fr. Mark Tarrant presiding. A sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Grace Hospital for their care and kindness. We are so very sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Jackie was a roommate to our mom, Marion, at St Boniface Hospital just over two years ago. She was so kind to our mom, watched out for her and was the sweetest to us girls as well during such a difficult time for us.
