WALLACE (WALLY) LEOPOLD BENKENDORF 1935 - 2018 We are incredibly sad to share that Wally passed away peacefully on October 11, 2018. Wally grew up in Manitoba, and earned his master's degree in history from United College and his law degree with honours from the University of Manitoba. He met and married his loving wife, Bridget, and they moved west. After a brief stop in Calgary, they spent the past 50 plus years in Edmonton. Wally loved the law and had a wonderful career as a lawyer where he built not only a practice, but a loyal and collegial client group. The majority of his career was with the Corbett Field and then Corbett Benkendorf firm. Wally was a beautiful soul; he was always fair, kind and generous, and we will miss the twinkle in his eye. He was very dedicated to his family. His children and grandchildren were his joy - and he leaves to mourn his loss wife, Bridget; children, Barry (Joan), Tracy and John (Maria); and grandchildren, Eric, Kate and Anna. A celebration of Wally's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton, AB.   • Joyce and I are very sad to hear of Wally's passing. We offer our sincere condolences to you Bridget and your family. Yes he was a fair and kind friend. I remember how I used to love to see that twinkle in his eye. His passing has also brought back many fond memories of things we all did together in Winnipeg. Wally was a very honourable man and I am proud to have been able to call him my friend. Joyce and I again offer our deepest condolences.
