LLOYD STANLEY BISSON October 27, 1944 - October 18, 2018 Dad passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Selkirk General Hospital with family by his side. Dad is predeceased by his parents, Roddy and Emma Garrick, brother Henry and sister Mary-Ann. He is survived by his wife Edna Bisson, daughter Angelee (Kurt) Carlson, daughter Ginette Bisson, son Darren (Corrlea) Bisson, daughter Samantha (Max) Bisson and sister Freda Lepine; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dad was always a very private person who spoke few words, but when he spoke everyone listened. Our dad loved fishing, hunting and spoiling his grandkids. His favourite pastime was watching the Montreal Canadians play hockey, and making sure his cheque book was always balanced. Our dad will be missed by all who knew him. We find peace in knowing he is reunited with so many loved ones up in heaven. Our dad is now our guardian angel who is watching over us and protecting us. Fly freely Dad, until we meet again. We love you. Prayers and visitation will be held tonight, Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 p.m. at the Selkirk United Church, 202 McLean Ave., Selkirk, MB. A wake will be held on Thursday at the Ke-Na-Now Center in Wabowden, MB at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Friday, October 26 at 1:00 p.m., also at the Ke-Na-Now Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission or Selkirk United Church. Thank you to the Selkirk General Hospital for all of the amazing care our dad received in his final days. Afterglow "I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one, I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun of happy memories that I leave behind when day is done." -Helen Lowrie Marshall Arrangements entrusted to: Interlake Cremation & Memorial Services

  • When I pause to remember Lloyd first as young kids then as teenagers then into adulthood, now old age... As youngsters time could never go fast enough. We come to realize that a human life is but a moment of time on this planet earth. Time has gone by so quickly and now we must stop pause and remember how much Lloyd's moment of time on this planet has meant to each and all of us. This is a friend that will be sadly missed for my remaining days. Bill Benson - Posted by: Bill Benson (life long friend) on: Oct 24, 2018

  • Our deepest sympathy to wife Edna and family, and sister Freda and family. Thinking of you at all as you prepare to say good-bye to a wonderful family man. He was so proud of you all and loved you with all his heart. I will always remember his laugh when teasing someone. He was loved and he will be missed by so many family and friends. RIP my dear cousin Lloyd Love Anne & Dan ❤❤ - Posted by: Anne & Dan Derby (Cousin) on: Oct 24, 2018

  • Lloyd made me laugh the first time I met him. He was full of good jokes or one liners. He was a kind, thoughtful person who always tried to think how his decision or action would affect the people he was working with. The time we worked together was a pleasure. He was a mentor to myself and others and will be missed. Enjoy the big trap line in the heavens my friend. - Posted by: Marshall Paxton (Friend) on: Oct 23, 2018
