VICTOR WOLCZUK It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Bryan Wolczuk, age 70, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Health Sciences Centre. Vic was predeceased by his father William in 1975; mother Lillian (Babie) in 1992 and brother William in B.C. in 2014. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by niece Tara Wolczuk and nephew Ron Wolczuk of B.C. and many cousins and friends. Vic was born on May 24, 1948 in St. Vital. He attended Glenlawn Collegiate and R.R.C.C., obtaining his diploma in Computer Electronics Technology. He utilized his diploma and talents working for NCR, R.R.C., and Powerland Computers, making many friends along the way. He was an accomplished wine maker, woodworker, and avid reader. He enjoyed model planes and boats, wood and soapstone carving, photography, and playing board and card games. In later life Vic took swimming and scuba diving lessons. He enjoyed spending time at the lake with friends swimming, snorkeling and experimenting with underwater photography. Vic was always quick to lend a helping hand to whoever needed it without expectations of anything in return. As per Vic's wishes cremation has taken place and an interment service will be held on November 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. We would like to extend our sincere thank you to the First Responders from the Clearwater Bay Volunteer Fire Department, the O.P.P., and medical staff in Kenora, Ontario for their quick response and immediate care; the Air Transport Team, and the HSC medical staff in the SICU and Ward D3 for their excellent and compassionate care of our loved one. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Vic to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Health Sciences Centre. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • We will miss the ski evenings on Falcon Lake and have fond memories of the gatherings we had with the NCR crew. Rest In Peace - Posted by: Brian & Vicky Adams (friends) on: Nov 13, 2018

  • My parents were good friends with Bill and Lill. Growing up we spent so much time at their home and in the greenhouses. Vic,taught me how to play adult board games around the age of 7 and to shoot pool when I could reach the table. I remember drinking his homemade rootbeer. That was such a treat. I also recall swimming in the pool he built with plywood and a plastic liner. Not really sure how it held water but it did. Growing up I marveled at the models he built and displayed. Our paths strayed away over the years. Never forgotten, always remembered. My sympathies to the famlly - Posted by: Donna Reid (friend) on: Nov 04, 2018
