DANIEL BRICK July 24, 1986 - October 29, 2018 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Daniel Brick at age 32. Daniel will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his parents, Gerry and Sharon, sisters, Caitlyn (Michael) and Stephanie (Sean), and nephew and niece, Cameryn and Sloan. Daniel was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 24, 1986. Daniel attended Ecole Varennes School and completed his time in elementary school at St. Emile School where he then attended St. Paul's High School and graduated in 2003. After graduation, Daniel attended the University of Manitoba and completed his Bachelor of Science in 2007. Graduating with some spare time, Daniel then travelled to Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam for three months before returning to school at the University of Winnipeg where he completed his Bachelor of Education. Following his graduation, Daniel taught in Egypt and China before eventually settling down in Virden, Manitoba where he began teaching at Virden Collegiate. Daniel was born to teach math and physics. He loved being in the classroom and shaping young minds. Not only was Daniel active in the classroom, he also participated in extracurricular activities including coaching soccer and basketball, helping out with drama productions, and supervising school dances and safe grad. While Daniel was incredibly busy with teaching and extracurriculars he had the desire to further his education and completed his Master's of Education during the summer of 2018 where he presented his plan for an Alumnae Association for Virden Collegiate in front of his fellow students, teachers, and his very proud mother and father. A celebration of Daniel's life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at St. Paul's High School, 2200 Grant Avenue. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family would like to extend a special thanks to Mark Keown, the EMT's, R.C.M.P., the community of Virden and in particular Daniel's close friends who have helped so much with their love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Daniel to Virden Collegiate Institute Philanthropy Fund, Box 1418, Virden, MB R0M 2C0 or e-transfer: vciaccountsreceivable@gdrive.flbsd.mb.ca, Label: "Philanthropy Fund".
