THOMAS WILLIAM LEONARD July 31, 1926 - October 31, 2018 On Wednesday, October 31, 2018, Tom passed away at Concordia Hospital, at the age of 92 years. Left to survive Tom are his son Gary (Huguette); grandson Joel (Liane) Nault; granddaughter Jody (Rob) Rowan; five great-grandchildren; only sister Barbara (Ron) Johnstone; nephew Brent (Lili) Johnstone; nieces Susan Johnstone, Linda Johnstone (Wayne) all of Victoria, BC; niece Betty (Bernie) Hunter; nephew Bill (Elaine) Bronsdon and sister-in-law Gloria Bronsdon, all of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his wife Verl; parents, Jane and Charlie Leonard. Tom was raised in Transcona. At a young age he began a passion for sports. Baseball and hockey were his favourites to play and later watch. He enjoyed tennis and played in Florida in his early 70's. Bowling in CNR leagues was also a pastime. At about age 38, Tom took up golf and later was an active member of Elmhurst Golf and Country Club for 40 years. He was employed at CN Rail for 43 years from age 17 to 60. Tom was a longtime member of Calvary Temple Church, where him and Verl had many life long friends. As per Tom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A family service to be held at a later date.
