PATRICK ALBERT FEAKES It is with heavy hearts that the Feakes family regretfully announces the passing of Patrick Albert Feakes on October 15, 2018 at the age of 54 years. Pat passed away peacefully after losing his hard fought battle against cancer at the Palliative Care Unit at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Pat had a reputation for his hard work ethic in the oil patch, and for many years it was in his sought after one of a kind Hayes Bed Truck. This seasonal work allowed Pat many passions including raising dogs, fishing, biking, golfing, baseball, hockey and of course international travel. His greatest work was first and foremost to raise his son Tyler and support him through all of early life challenges, you could be sure he was in a hockey rink somewhere in the west supporting his son for many years and later his niece and nephews. His other great work revolved around helping others, Pat always made time to support and mentor anyone that asked him for help, this work truly helped him with his life journey. Pat will forever be lovingly remembered as a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend by his beloved son Tyler Feakes (Cathy), his parents, Albert and Ethel Feakes, his three brothers: Robin Feakes (Jenney), David Feakes (Maria) and Murray Feakes (Bonnie), numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Grandfather and Grandmother Feakes, and Grandfather and Grandmother Dyck. A celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date (to be determined and will be posted). Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Tertiary Palliative Care Unit at the Grey Nuns Hospital in Edmonton, AB. The Feakes family would like to give a special thanks to Pat's health care team at Unit 43, palliative care at the Grey Nuns Hospital for the gentle and compassionate care and support that Pat was given over his final months of life. Thank you all for making his time as comfortable as was humanly possible. Pat will truly be missed but will remain in our hearts forever. We are eternally grateful for the memories of time spent with Pat as he leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who are better people in so many ways for having known Pat.
