MILLIE DALIK Suddenly on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in Winnipeg, Millie, beloved wife of Gordon, passed away at the age of 79. Millie was predeceased by her daughter Bonnie Lynn; parents, Dora and Sam Arabsky; and sister Liz (Walter). She will be lovingly remembered by Gordon; daughter Debbie and son-in-law Craig, nephew Trayce (Michelle); special nephews, Braden and Kyle; brother John (Doris) Arabsky and family; sister Martha (Bill) Henderson and family. Throughout their 56 years of marriage, Millie and Gordon embarked on numerous adventures throughout Canada and the U.S., meeting new friends along the way, and forming lasting friendships with some very special Texans and most recently in Arizona at the Mesa Regal RV resort in Mesa, Arizona. Ultimately, Millie was always very happy to return home to her family. Millie showed her love with her cooking and baking, most notably her peanut butter balls, tarts, huge muffins, poppy seed cake, perogies and so much more. Millie generously shared these treats with family and friends, often care packages and goodie bags were sent home with you. Millie sewed pot holders, tea towels and pillow cases, providing us with years of stock. Millie loved the casinos and at home, playing her "games" and hearts on the computer. She would plug into her country music and play games or read. Millie made holidays and birthdays special occasions, ensuring we had our favourite meals, cakes and desserts. A big thank you to our special friend and neighbour, Barb (Ron). A special thank you also to the staff and doctors of Internal Medicine and the ICMU at St. Boniface Hospital. In accordance with Millie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Millie to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Manitoba Lung Association. • Our heartfelt condolences for your loss Gordon and family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Millie was a great soul, serves everyone all the time, it never dies. It brings us together again and again. Death brings pain that time can only heal. No words could ease what we truly feel. We were blessed to work with Millie, she was a role model to all of us. We have beautiful memories of Millie and she was very special to us. But with God her joy is eternally sealed and we cherish her memories. R.I.P. Millie. Our prayers are with you Gordon and your family at this difficult time. Joe/Sandra Ramlal - Posted by: Joe &Sandra Ramlal (Co workers/friends) on: Nov 15, 2018

  • Many years have passed since we had the pleasure of Gord and Millie's company - a long road paved with the intentions of reconnecting always being there. Time has faded, but not erased, these memories. One memory that remains vivid, is that of Millie and, in our opinion, her unrivaled status of that as "the ultimate hostess" - she sure knew how to spoil her guests. Our warm thoughts are with her family, present and past. We share in your loss. Bryan and Wendy Furst. - Posted by: Bryan and Wendy Furst (friends) on: Nov 12, 2018

  • My deepest sympathy Gordon, to you and your family. - Posted by: Margaret Friesen (Friend) on: Nov 10, 2018

  • It is with deep sadness that we received the call from Craig last Wednesday to inform us of Millie's passing. I first met Millie through business with Gordon in 1971. For many years I visited Winnipeg every month, often with my wife Jackie, and the business relationship blossomed into a close friendship Of course, over the last number of years the visits became less frequent, and became more phone calls. What never faded however, was the feelings of "family" that Millie and Gordon always made us feel, and for those memories, we are forever grateful. - Posted by: hans and Jackie smit (friends) on: Nov 10, 2018
