DOLLY WINSTON On November 14, quietly at the Fred Douglas Lodge, Dolly Winston, 1911 to 2018, passed away two months short of her 108th birthday. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ben, five of six children, her brother and sisters. Left to mourn her are: daughter Elaine (Mark) Yukelis, son-in-law Dan Mamott, grandchildren, Barbara Mindell, Jodi (Glen) Simpson, Sean (Melissa) Mamott, Ari (Rachel) Mamott and Josh (Suzi) Yukelis, many generations of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was blessed with family, friends, health, and a love of life. She lived unassisted for 99 years, and moved to the Fred Douglas Lodge in 2010. On her 105th birthday the staff at the lodge held a gala for her. Present were the lodge residents, her Winnipeg family, many political dignitaries, well wishes from the Queen, the Premier, and many others. She was never shy about giving advice on a long life. DOLLY WINSTON On November 14, 2018, quietly at the Fred Douglas Lodge, Dolly Winston (nee Gaber) peacefully passed at the age of 107 years and 10 months. Funeral services will be held at the Chesed Shel Emes Chapel Sunday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. Full obituary to follow.
