RONALD JAMES RICHES August 22, 1943 - November 17, 2018 Ron passed on November 17, 2018. He was predeceased by his parents, Sidney and Isabel. He is survived by his brother David (Betty) nephew Jeremy; brother Darrell; and his sister Janet (Bill). At an early age, Ron played piano. He received First Class Honours in Grade 3 piano from the Royal Conservatory of Music. He played football with the Fort Garry Lions midget and juvenile teams and was inducted into Manitoba Football Hall of Fame. After retirement from the Assiniboine Park Conservatory, he travelled to Ontario, Alberta and took special trips to Shoal Lake, MB, all to visit with family and friends. A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice.

  • Ron was a delight to work with, he was quick with a joke and stories and almost always wore a warm delightful smile. He looked forward to his travels in retirement and we enjoyed hearing about his escapades with his friends, he usually popped in around Christmas and in Spring to keep us all abreast of his next or latest adventure.
