  • I had known Danny Robak a long time ago, and still said hello if we happened to meet. One day, my roommate, Gary, who had a fractured rib, was downtown in Selkirk, had just met up with this guy, they talked a bit, and he hired this man to come take my A/C out of my window for the year. I didn't know who Martin was until he said his name. We chatted and had a few laughs while he went about his task; a very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable guy, He finished the job, cleaned up, and he asked me where to put it. I told him I had just pushed it on the carpet but he picked it up and carried that big heavy box out to my storage room. He was a slight man and that box looked heavier than he was. Oh my! And the next week, he was back helping carry Gary's belongings as Gary was moving to Winnipeg. Marty drove him there. Exactly two weeks later, on a Friday, Marty was driving my nephew, Jeremy, and his wife, Sonya, helping out there again. Was that was this quiet, giving man was on this earth for .....being there and giving a hand to strangers and friends? That Friday, the LORD must have taken notice of this humble being, and said 'You have done your work here, Son; You are Blessed', and HE called him HOME, on that Highway 59. God bless his family and friends, who grieve their loss. Marty Robak is already blessed. Thank you. - Posted by: Marie Fontaine (Acquaintence) on: Nov 27, 2018
