DAVID GOWEN In loving memory of David who passed away on November 23, 2018. He is survived by his parents, Edward and Jeanette, his brother Brent (Cindy), his sisters Debbie (Len) and Cheryl. David was born in Snow Lake, Manitoba on November 26, 1963. David graduated High School from Windsor Park Collegiate in Manitoba and went on to receive a Recreation Parks Operations Diploma from Seneca College in Ontario. He was employed in landscape construction, greenhouse management and animal welfare at the Humane Society in both Ontario and Manitoba. In Ontario he met and married Ivy Dickson in 1988, prior to returning to Manitoba. David enjoyed camping in Riding Mountain National Park and spending time at Bird's Hill Park. He also appreciated his visits with his "Poker Buddies". We would like to thank them for looking out for David whenever he needed them. Funeral services will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., with reception to follow. Interment will be held at a later date at St. Clements Anglican Church Cemetery, Selkirk, Manitoba. In lieu of flower, donations may be made in memory of David, to Canadian Diabetes Society.
