CLARISSA ROBERTS (RED KEITH)
Date of Passing: Nov 29, 2018
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCLARISSA (RED) ROBERTS (nee KEITH) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Clarissa (Red) Roberts passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the age of 71 years. Left to cherish Clarissa's memory are her daughters, Tara and Rana; grandson Spencer; brother Mervin (Leona) and nephew Ryan (Jessica). She will be greatly missed by the furry "Zoo" even though they are not "Real Dogs". She was predeceased by her husband Richard "Ted" Roberts and her granddaughter Skyler. Clarissa was born in the Bowsman, Manitoba area and moved to Winnipeg to become an X-ray Technologist. She worked in many places but finished her career at Deer Lodge Centre. Clarissa was a kind, funny and generous person. She provided meals to many elderly family and friends, helped with gardening, and was the first to offer a meal, baking or a social platter to anyone in need. She was an amazing cook and baker! In Clarissa's retirement she spent time crocheting hats and neck warmers for everyone. Her most important job was Grandma. She loved spending time with Spencer. They had a special bond and over the last eight years she taught him many things including his ABCs, colours and how to be kind and generous. She was the best Grandma a little boy could have. Special thanks to the healthcare teams who provided Clarissa with such amazing care at the Grace Hospital (ER, 3S and 3N) and HSC. A heartfelt thanks to friends and family who have helped support our family during this difficult time. In compliance with Clarissa's wishes there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg: CE 501-840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1 Condolences may be sent to www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com

I sort of got to know Clarissa playing the game of Lexulous online. We played daily for a couple of years, I think. At first we were anonymous to each other, but after some time we began to disclose our first names and a bit about each other. I noticed that she was hospitalized for a time and missed her in our daily games with each other. After October or November she disappeared from the game altogether and I worried that she might have become very ill. I decided to check the Free Press and found her there. I am sure it is her. I am so saddened to hear of her death, but also appreciate her kindness as described in her tribute. There was one communication with her daughter when her mother was hospitalized and I send my condolences to you and the rest of the family. I miss her. - Posted by: Mary Anne Hildebrand (friend) on: Feb 09, 2019
