Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My deepest sympathy to Frank, Debbie and Jodi and all those who loved Cathy. I have so many fond memories of my dear Aunt Cathy...from having weekend trips to Winnipeg to stay with her when I was a teenager where she introduced me to great shopping and restaurants in Osborne Village and where we soaked up the sun pool side as we chatted about life; to her making a special trip to attend my wedding in Ottawa; to her and my mom arriving as the dynamic duo after the birth of my twins to help out which to this day we laugh about because my mom and Aunt Cathy could not tell the twins apart so would change the same baby all day long...needless to say one of the twins had a very heavy diaper; to a more recent visit with Cathy and Fred when my mom was in hospital where she entertained us all with her fun stories. I admired Cathy for always saying it like it is, for having the courage to change and for her desire to help others. She had a wonderful sense of humour and smile and she will remain forever in my heart. I will cherish all the wonderful memories I had with her. Love, Julie and family (Hamid, Mustapha and Amir) - Posted by: Julianne Dunbar (niece) on: Dec 15, 2018

  • I am truly saddened to hear of Catherine's passing. She was a neighbour and friend over a ten year period. We played "Lexulous" together, a word game on the computer, for several years. Such a smart lady. She had such a wonderful sense of humour and was really good company. We shall miss both her and Fred at our Sterling Tower lunches. I feel privileged to have known her. My condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Shirley Comber (Friend) on: Dec 14, 2018
