JOSEPH HAROLD MILLER Joseph Harold Miller, born November 29, 1938, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the Grace General Hospital. Joe was 80 years of age. Joe grew up in Fort Rouge and had many valued friends to compliment his loving family. Everybody who met Joe liked him and everyone who knew Joe loved him. He was a gentle, sincere and kind man who always put other people's needs ahead of his own. After retiring from owning his own business, Joe loved to travel, enjoyed the company of friends and family and his daily walks through Assiniboine Park. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Pearl and Harold Miller. He is survived by his sister Janice McTavish, nephew Tim Casson, niece Kristine McTavish, great-niece Ashley Casson and two great-nephews, Nicolas Casson and Tyler Wrolson. Joe did not want a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe's name to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Joseph Harold Miller, you are missed dearly.

  • Joe was a lovely person - I was fortunate to meet him thru my dear friend Joanne and her friend, Rene back in the '80's. He was truly one of the kindest, sweetest folks I've ever had the privilege to meet. When my mother Susan passed away in 2003, he came to the funeral and sat with me at the front. He had a lovely, witty sense of humour and a compassionate manner. Joe also joined Joanne and I in Hawaii back in 1993 and made each of us little memory books of the adventure! the world needs more people like Joe, I know he'll be deeply missed by sister and niece and nephew. - Posted by: Rona Johnston (friend) on: Dec 15, 2018
