PETER JOHN VERBONG Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the Riverview Health Centre, Peter Verbong passed away at the age of 90 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife Gloria, four daughters, three sons and their families and one sister. Peter was predeceased by his first wife Gertruda, his daughter Gerda, son-in-law Doug, three brothers and two sisters. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 21, 2018 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A private family interment will take place at a later date in the family plot at Transcona Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Peter to CancerCare Manitoba. Peter's advice on carpentry and gardening will be greatly missed by all. Joe and I have known Peter for more than 50+ years. We wish to extend our Condolences to Gloria and all Peter’s children and Families as well as our Cousins Marianne, Jim, Bill and Rick van Aert and Families!
