FLORENCE THOMPSON It is with great sadness that we, the family of Florence Thompson (nee Lucas), announce her passing on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Left to cherish Mom's memory are her daughter Lori (John); son Robert (Parris); grandchildren, Lisa (James), Stealth, and great-granddaughter Emma, who brought such joy to her life this past year. Also left to mourn are her brother James (Joan) in Comox, BC, and sister Kathleen Lucas in Toronto, ON, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) 2002, and siblings, Amy, Alice, Beth, Arthur, Ted and Ken. Mom was born April 14, 1926 to William and Mary Lucas (nee Brown) on a farm in Atwater, Saskatchewan. One of nine children. She lived her life with dignity, grace and an unwavering inner strength. She will be lovingly remembered as a kind and gentle soul with a quick wit and keen sense of humour. A loyal friend who always enjoyed connecting with those near and dear to her. She will be missed beyond measure and loved always. The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Luther Home for their care and compassion of Florence and her family during these last few months. Your kindness will not be forgotten. In honouring Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private interment will follow at a later date.
