To Aunt Annie and cousins, Paul, Bruno, Velma, Vern and Menno and their families. My deepest condolences to all of you - I know you will miss Uncle Pete. I have a fond memory of him from probably close to 50 years ago. He had stopped by one evening when our mom was not home so he was visiting with our dad. Dad suggested that my sisters and I bake some cookies for the occasion to have with tea. We excitedly did so but burned the cookies in the process. I remember feeling so terrible and my eyes were smarting with tears, but Uncle Pete came over to us and bent down with a smile and said in that soft, kind voice "you know what girls? I just happen to like burnt cookies!" I have never forgotten that! May God comfort and bless you! - Posted by: Brenda Manning (Niece) on: Jan 08, 2019

To Aunt Annie and my cousins, Bruno, Paul, Velma, Verner and Menno and their families. My deepest condolences to you on the passing of a much loved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Uncle Pete was an uncle who always took the time to greet my sisters and I by name and to ask about our lives. He treated us with kindness and respect which is, I know, how he treated everyone who crossed his pathway. Our hearts are saddened by your great loss! - Posted by: Debbie Cooper (Niece) on: Jan 08, 2019
