He will be remembered for the wonderful karaoke tracks he made of songs that were hard to get or not available elsewhere which were a labour of love. He has made many people happy with what he did. His legacy will never be forgotten. R.I.P. Mr Crooner, sing with the angels. - Posted by: Irene Hillier (Customer) on: Feb 03, 2019

JD was a great person and a awesome singer. He was often singing tunes at the Hartford Legion(Karaoke night) where I first met him. He would sing Moody Blues tracks and others. He was a great Crooner and very encouraging to other singers. He will be sadly missed by all his Karaoke buddies and I will remember him with a mic in his hand.... singing Nights in white satin. Doug was a treasure! He took such amazing loving care of Susan, our sister, from the day they met. Doug leaves to greatly mourn, two sister-in-laws, Nadine, Marge and Jayne, brother-in-law James and wife Marge and their family, as well as Megan and her husband and family of deceased sister in law Debbie Hopkins, nee Loewen. Doug was a major part of our family for almost 30 years. He was such a blessing in so many ways, he will be greatly greatly missed! I often said to him he has earned many jewels in his Heavenly crown for being such a wonderful partner for our dear sister Susan. He also helped with our sister Debbie, who had MS and has since passed. When Susan was diagnosed with her cancer, they fulfilled their long term dreams of taking two Alaskan cruises, so marvellous. Doug was a great chef and Christmas/family gatherings would find him in the kitchen. What a great man he was. He is now with his beloved and enjoying Heaven. We miss him so, but rest firmly assured he is with his Saviour. He will be so dearly missed. Jayne Loewen, sister-in-law🙏🏻 - Posted by: Jayne Loewen (Sister-in-law) on: Jan 15, 2019

I met Doug in 1993. Since then he has been a cherished friend and devoted ally. We spent countless hours working on karaoke files, and computer related programs. Doug, Susan and I shared a deep fondness for one another that I will cherish forever. We enjoyed fishing trips while Susan would read in the cabin. Whenever life dealt me a devastating blow, they were there to "save " me. I'll always remember his kindness, love and generosity. His legacy will live on in his karaoke family both locally and world wide with the great music he created for us. I love you my friend, my Froggie - Posted by: Maggie Clark (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2019

I remember going fishing and how happy he would be just being on the lake or on the shore, be it up north in Flin Flon or the Morris river. - Posted by: Jordan Froese (Foster son) on: Jan 12, 2019
