Dear Gerry, so shocked to hear of your passing as I just found out yesterday. I couldn’t believe it, my heartfelt wishes to your family. I had the blessing of getting to know her and Mike as we lived next door to each other on Pembroke Road. She was so welcoming and greeted us into the neighbourhood. Mike and Gerry always knew we didn’t have air conditioning in our home at the time and made sure we were welcomed into there outdoor pool where Mike usually lived..(smile)..since there move I received Christmas cards and would bump into her at the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra concerts. Rest in peace with Mike Gerry. You will be missed but remembered - Posted by: Sylvanna and Warren Palmer (Friends and neighbors ) on: Feb 21, 2019

I am so saddened to hear of Gerry's death. Believe it or not, but we were both in St Boniface at the same time but I didn't know until yesterday that she was there. I was on the 6th floor and she was on the 4th. If I'd only known I would have visited her as soon as I was able. So many fond memories of your mom dating back decades. Getting into shananigans as teens, parties as young adults with the Wrays, Browns, Banfords, Davies, and your parents, going out to lunch, swimming lessons at Margaret Grant Pool and her telling me so many stories of her children and grand-children. She was so proud of you all. Funny story....Bonnie, Gerry and I going to a dance at Wpg Beach as teens and missing the train home! Ended up hitching a ride in a stranger's rumble seat back to Wpg. Your mother was someone I could always rely on and trust. Unfortunately, we lost touch with each other the last several years what with me moving into a Seniors Home, losing my ability to drive, and my memory failing. Thankfully, Patricia Davie tracked me down through my daughter and let me know of your Mother's passing. My thoughts are with you all as fond memories of Gerry fill me with joy and gratitude for having known her. Love Doreen (these are my mother's words sent with a little help from her daughter Susan). - Posted by: Doreen Pound (Campbell) (friend since high school) on: Feb 03, 2019

I have known Gerry since I was 5 although have not seen her much since I left Winnipeg over 50 years ago. She was sister to my friend Rosslyn and close friend to my sister Bonnie. I always enjoyed Gerry’s company. Bonnie would have been upset about her passing but passed a few days before Gerry did. Miss those times years ago - Posted by: Dawn McCorquodale Lykken (Friend) on: Feb 02, 2019
