DENISE LILIANNE PAMBRUN (née GUAY) September 14, 1931 - February 8, 2019 Today, a soft voice whispered, "mes enfants, the time has come for Maman to join me in heaven. To my cherished and precious children, Jean-Marie (Barb), Daniel (Ginette), René (Jo-Anne), Desneiges (Gilles), Henri (Barb), Gilles (Doris), Guy (Sandra) and Louise (Réjean) there are not enough words to thank you for caring for Maman with such love, compassion and patience while I was unable to physically be there with her. The angels and archangels will take her from you now and she will join her Maman, Marie-Louise (Potvin), Papa, Pierre Guay, and many other family members in Heaven where we will all watch over you." On September 14, 1931 Denise was born in Gatineau, Québec. Although she was very young when her family moved to St. Eustache, in her heart Québec had always been her home. On October 14, 1950 Denise and François were married and for 67 years they went on to raise eight children with a life full of adventure, love, challenges and successes. On January 6, 2018 François was called to heaven. Maman continued to remain positive and happy despite losing her best friend and the love of her life, always hoping she would soon join him. François remained in her heart and she kept her promise to envision him by her side and recite the rosary daily. Maman's love was felt by all who knew her through her cooking, sewing and caring. She was a positive person filled with love and energy. Later in life, she even discovered a full-time job managing a dental practice for a few years. Actionmarguerite on River Road was her home for the past four and a half years where she touched the hearts and lives of so many residents, staff and visitors with her vibrant personality, friendliness, smiles, humour and kisses. She always wanted to help others and she took great joy in sharing her treats and goodies! Maman (selfless and considerate) and Papa (tender and compassionate) were really a beautiful match and they complimented each other. God was an important and active part of everyday life for the Pambrun/Guay family and strong morals and values were instilled. From their first home on rue Guay; to summer vacations at Plage Albert; to building a new home on chemin Brébeuf - which became the hub of countless family gatherings as well as an open door to anyone; to the opening of Pam's Chicken Inn in Windsor Park; to their many travel destinations; to their 27 years of wintering in Texas; to celebrating their "67th wedding anniversary" in the Fall of 2017...all these memories and more created a unique story for our family. Their loving circle of life will continue to live on through eight children, 19 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, all who have had the privilege of knowing the most loving, accepting, compassionate, understanding and faith-filled Mémére and Pépére. The wisdom and values passed down are gifts they will all treasure forever. The loss of our Maman/Mémére/Grand-Mémére leaves a trail of tears along with very precious memories. Her influence will continue to guide us, bring us strength and comfort as we, her family, continue to journey without her. God may have her in His arms but we have her in our hearts. A huge "thank you" to the entire staff at Actionmarguerite on River Road for caring unconditionally for Maman. A private celebration of her precious life will take place at a later date.
