Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGYSBERTHA MARTINA MIKULLA (née BRONK) It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Bertha on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by her parents, siblings, Zus (Anton), Kees (Tini) and Gerald. She leaves to mourn her husband Hans Mikulla, son Michael (Shannon), daughter Sonja (Robert), grandchildren, Ryan, Wesley, Brittany, Michael, Jasmine and Kaitlyn. As well as Jo (Adrie), Arie (Jenny), Hans, sisters-in-law, Irene and Jo and many nieces, nephews and friends. Bertha was born in Arkel, Holland on June 5, 1939. In 1955, 16 year old Bertha and her family immigrated to Canada and made Winnipeg their home. "Beppy" met the love of her life Hans, at the German Club and before long they were married and started their family. Bertha worked for the RBC Data Centre for many years and part time as a rep for Carlton Cards in her later years. Bertha loved to spend time with family. Famous for planning events such as our Boxing Day gatherings, she was an avid music lover and collector who could be counted on to provide the perfect music for any occasion and get everyone dancing. Bertha performed in the Dutch Pavilion as a dancer and Ducan singer. She also loved to travel and was a nature lover who cherished her time at the family cottage. She enjoyed berry picking, rock collecting and could often be seen floating or swimming across the lake. Her love for her family was immense and her role as Oma, most cherished. Bertha had a keen sense for fashion and style and took pride in her appearance. She was always put together, beautiful inside out. Her witty sense of humour could make you laugh until you cried. We are so proud of how hard you battled Alzheimer's. It has not won. You will forever be remembered and loved always! Thank you to Golden Door for your gracious care. Please join us for a celebration of Bertha's life. An informal come and go will be held on Saturday, February 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Dakota Lawn Bowling Centre, 1212 Dakota St. Family and friends may sign a Book of Condolence at www.glenlawn.ca Glen Lawn Funeral Home 204-982-7550

So sorry to hear of Bertha's passing. I remember Bertha very well since I've known her since I was a child. I always thought she was a beautiful and kind woman. She was very friendly and always had a smile and a genuine greeting whenever she saw me. Just wanted to extend our deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Bertha's family. I know she will be greatly missed. - Posted by: Dina Moerman Reid (Sister-in-law to Arie Bronk) on: Feb 16, 2019
