I met Selma in an art class over 30 years ago and had the pleasure of being her friend all these wonderful years. Selma loved Johny, her friends, all animals, and art. She brought a sparkle and extra bit of fun to all and I am thankful to have shared so many good times with her. - Posted by: Janet Trotter (Friend) on: Feb 28, 2019

Selma and I first met in Houston around 1990. Our love of art is what brought us together. We shared studio space, art friends, trials and tribulations and many fun events. Selma, always the optimist, brought such a love for life to our group. It was great fun to hear so many of her stories both with her friends and husband, Johnny. She was one of a kind and will be remembered and missed. Condolences to her family, devoted husband, Johnny, and friends. - Posted by: Cookie Ashton (Friend) on: Feb 28, 2019

Although I never had the please of meeting Selma, I knew her husband Johny for over 30 years. Over those many years, I could tell the love they had for each other, and the mutual love they had for animals. Johny, in your solitude, I know your will forever cherish your memories and your life together. Roy - Posted by: Roy W. Shiflet (Longtime friend) on: Feb 27, 2019

Selma and I met in Sydney in 1968/9 and became firm friends. She introduced me to my husband Federico in Sydney in 1970 and we have shared many happy times, together with Johny, both here and in Houston. I shall miss her lovely sunny nature, her wonderful optimistic outlook in spite of any difficulty, and her general joie de vivre. Farewell dear Sel, you’ve touched so many lives and left an indelible imprint. Thank you for your wonderful, friendship. - Posted by: Kay Annoni (Friend of fifty years) on: Feb 27, 2019

I first met Selma about 1960 at IBM in Los Angeles. Selma, Barbara and I had many wonderful times together with lots of giggles! We had remained friends all these years and got together every so often. Selma painted a wonderful picture for my daughter Jennifer for a wedding present which is hanging happily in a place of honour in her house in Palos Verdes Estates, CA. RIP my darling Selma. Love Margo and All The Ritters. - Posted by: Margo Ritter (Dear old friend) on: Feb 26, 2019

Dear Milt, Eva and your and Selmas' families, Mary and I send our deepest sympathy at the loss of Selma. Although it is many years since I have seen her, I will always remember her fondly as a very vibrant outgoing and happy person with twin sister-like Barbara Johnson. She will never be forgotten. God bless, - Posted by: Bob Rendall (Old friend) on: Feb 26, 2019
