PATRICIA MARY ANTOSKI (nee PIZEY) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Patricia Mary Antoski (Pizey) on February 23, 2019. She passed away at the age of 78, at St. Boniface Hospital, having lived a life filled with fun, laughter and love. She leaves to mourn her passing, her brothers, Gord (Iris) and Bob (Betty); son Scott (Connie); grandson Justin (Jessica); and "adopted" family of Carrie (Roger), Curt, Lynn, Charlene (Lindsay); and "grandchildren", Karen, Graham, Heather (Glen), Katherine (Tim), Candace (Dylin), Madison and Katelyn; and her best friends, Lucille, Gail, Kathy, Maria, Bernice; and many more. She was predeceased by her parents, Stan Pizey and Mary Grant; husband John Antoski; and daughter-in-law, Carole. Pat was born November 18, 1940 and grew up in Winnipeg, living her entire life there. Pat was married in 1963 to John Antoski until his passing in 1993, just a few months shy of their 30th wedding anniversary. She was employed most recently at Wellington School, which she retired from after 31 years of service. She considered working as an office administrator her "true calling" working well with staff, students and the community at large. Once retired, Pat continued to be a vibrant member of her community, residing at Fort Gary Place for 17 years, planning events for her fellow apartment dwellers. She was the treasurer of the Catholic Women's League at Holy Cross, also singing every Sunday at the church. Please join us for a celebration of Pat's life on Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. We would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and support staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their great care and devotion to Pat. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Holy Cross Church - Kitchen Renovations, 252 Dubuc, Winnipeg, MB R2H 1E3. Family and friends may sign a book of condolence at www.glenlawn.ca. • I've just learned about Pat's passing and am deeply saddened by the fact that I will never see her beautiful smiling face or share the big warm hugs we shared whenever I saw her. Although I only knew her as my "Mary Kay Rep", Pat had a way of making you feel like a treasured friend, always wanting to know about the things going on in my life as I was interested in hers as well. When I think of Pat, I am reminded of this beautiful quote: " Carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched into the minds of others and the stories they share about you."- Shannon L. Alder. My heart has been forever touched by Pat's beautiful spirit! God Bless you and keep you, dear friend!! My sincere condolences go out to Pat's family and wide circle of friends.
