JEANETTE ANN MCINTOSH ASMAR (REMPEL) December 6, 1944 - February 6, 2019 Jeanette Ann (Rempel) McIntosh Asmar, of Calgary, passed away peacefully, with her children by her side, on February 6, 2019, after a lengthy illness due to kidney failure. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Susan Jones of Okotoks and Sean McIntosh (Kumi) of Toronto, four grandchildren, Sakura and Akito McIntosh, and Lyniah and Quinton Jones; her sisters, Helen Brown of Morris, Evelyne Hunter of Winnipeg, Agnes (Adrien) of Morris and Cathy McKelvey of Roblin; her brothers, George (Lesley) Rempel of Winnipeg, Jim (Evelyn) Rempel of Red Deer; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her husband George Asmar of Calgary. She was predeceased by her first husband Ken McIntosh; her parents, Eva and Ben Rempel of Lowe Farm; her brothers, Jake, Johnny, Henry David and Benny, her sister Justina Funk; and five brothers-in-law. Jeanette was born and grew up in Lowe Farm, MB. She met her husband, Ken, in Winnipeg where they both worked in the same bank. They transferred out to Vancouver, then to Jasper and St. Albert, before settling in Calgary. She loved her family and cherished the times they spent together. As per her wishes, there will be no funeral, with a memorial at a later date. She will be sadly missed by her family for her love, strength and perseverance. Thanks to Jim for his bedside vigil and the kind staff at the Calgary Hospice. Donations may be made in her memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada. Rest In Peace, dear sister!
