Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPERCY ALLAN After a short illness, it is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and papa, Percy Allan, on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the age of 95. Dad was predeceased by his cherished wife Evelyn, their sons, Garry and William, and son-in-law Jack. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Linda (Eric), Sheryl, Sandra (Earl), Cynthia (Roman), Richard (Kathy), and daughter-in-law Janet (Russ), as well by 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Dad was born in Winnipeg on August 30, 1923. He joined the service in 1941 and served in the Second World War and the Korean War. He was a proud Veteran. After the war he met the love of his life Evelyn, his wife of 52 years. They resided in Winnipeg where they became a family of nine. Dad retired from Canada Post in 1987. Dad lived his life for his wife and family. Family gatherings, playing cards, travelling and sports were some of his life enjoyments that he passed on to all of us. Until Dad became ill, he enjoyed his weekly visits to the casino and was always up to taking a drive so he could enjoy the growth and development of Winnipeg. Thank you to Dr. Ormiston and the staff at Concordia Hospital for their care and kindness. As per Dad's wishes, a private service will be held.

I have so many great memories of time spent with the Allan family growing up in Elmwood, and riding in the family Chevy Nova. Percy was a soft spoken man, and their home was always welcoming. How lucky you are to have had him in your lives for 95 years! My thoughts are with you and your family. - Posted by: Maria Dunsmore (Zarrillo) (Friend) on: Mar 09, 2019
