DIANE ANGELE MARIE DEMARE July 22, 1967 - March 6, 2019 We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Diane Angèle Marie DeMaré on March 6, 2019, at St. Boniface Hospital. Diane died peacefully, in the arms of her beloved daughter Zoé Savoie, with devoted husband Denis Savoie at her side. Diane was predeceased by her mother Annette DeMaré (née Labossière) and her father Alfred DeMaré, as well as her nephew Stéfan Savoie. She leaves to cherish her memory her twin brother Daniel, her sisters, Monique (Emile Grenier) and Lauraine (Marcel Bérard), her brother Roger (Sandra), her nieces, Tiffany, Kirstyn and Elyse, her extended family, as well as her circle of close friends. Diane doted on her daughter Zoé and was loved as a "second mom" by many of Zoé's friends. Diane was born in Swan Lake in 1967 and grew up in Somerset, MB. She moved to Winnipeg for her studies in radio broadcasting before earning her certification as a travel agent. She started her career at the D'Eschambault Travel Agency and finished with the Great Canadian Travel Group where she guided thousands of people through their travels. Diane était fière de faire partie de la communauté franco-manitobaine et d'être membre-à-vie du Club Belge. She was a prairie girl and a world traveller, as much at home on the family farm as in a Parisian café. She was always ready to meet up for a meal, a movie or a chat. She enjoyed joining friends to cheer on the Jets. She was quick-witted, enjoying word play and inside jokes. She saw beauty and humour in everyday situations and would capture these through the touching and quirky images she shared on social media. She will be missed, but never forgotten. Her strength and generosity will continue to inspire us. As per Diane's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 31, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Notre Dame Recreational Centre, 271 avenue de la Cathédrale, St. Boniface, MB. Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. "I love you more than my heart." "La vie est belle."

Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

- Posted by: Daniel Loiselle Marcoux (Connaisaance ) on: Apr 16, 2019

  • Diane will truly be missed. Our heartfelt sympathies to the DeMare & Savoie families and a Big Hug to Denis and Zoe. There are no words for your loss, a smile, a laugh, a smell, a song, there are so many things that will remind you of Diane. Cherish those memories. Suzanne Nolette - Posted by: Suzanne Nolette (Amie - Friend) on: Mar 17, 2019
