Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEONIE VANDERZALM July 21, 1934 - March 17, 2019 Peacefully, in her sleep, Leonie passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Meadowood Manor. Leonie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ted, and her children, Andre (Estelle), Jeanet (Arnar) and Phil (Kathy). Also to mourn her passing, her grandchildren, Nicolas, Caroline, Braeden and Brielle. Mom enjoyed needlepoint, sewing, gardening and riding her bike, a passion she brought with her from Holland. Mom and Dad were an example of true love as Dad always looked after her and even more so after her stroke. A sincere and heartfelt thank you to Meadowood Manor for excellent and dignified care while Mom lived at the Manor. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Meadowood Manor, 577 St. Anne's Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2M 3G5 or Victoria Hospital, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8.
