IRENE (RENE) ALLAN FINDLAY Peacefully in the wee hours of March 18, 2019, Irene passed away at Luther Home, with friend Judy by her side. Irene was born in Ayr, Scotland. In the 1960s, she with her sister Jean and brother Alan immigrated to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. She was first employed by MTS and later by Air Canada, where she retired in the mid 1990s. Irene loved to travel and enjoyed her many trips back to Scotland to visit family and friends. During Alan and Leslie's many visits to Winnipeg they were always treated to fine dinners with special wines and wonderful conversations. Rene's mischievous and dry sense of humour afforded them many moments of laughter. She was always an avid reader, loved to do crossword puzzles and enjoyed her garden. Being an animal lover she and her sister Jean had many pets through the years. In her later years Rene found much enjoyment with her dog, Siobhan. Irene will be missed by her nephew Robin and his family; niece Laura and her family; sister-in-law Leslie, and many dear neighbours and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, and siblings, Bobby, Jean, and Alan. We would like to thank the dedicated staff at Luther Home for the wonderful care and support that they gave to Irene. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3. www.voyagefuneralhomes.com
