GREGORY SULLIVAN (SULLY) 1948 - 2019 Greg (Sully) Sullivan, 70, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, March 22, 2019 at Health Sciences Centre, after falling ill in Mexico. Born and raised in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Gerald and Mary (Dick) Sullivan. Greg will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his wife of over 48 years Jackie (Bourque); his sons, Scott (Tricia) and Kristian (Laura); his sisters, Sandra (Larry), Marjorie (Jim), Kathy (Dan); his brother Ralph; his brother-in-law Ronald (Gail); sister-in-law Norma; his grand-daughters, Lalaney, Kalila, Grace, Emily and Kathryn; nieces; nephews; cousins; friends; and surely anyone who was lucky enough to cross his path. Greg enjoyed 32 years of service with the CN and then worked part-time throughout his retirement, finding his ideal retirement job with International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) in the film industry. He had a positive outlook and a crazy sense of humour. He always lived his life to the fullest, laughing, dancing, riding his motorcycle, playing cards, teasing the kids and travelling. He treasured his visits back to the Maritimes and was always able to pick up where he left off with old friends. Greg was proud to be part of Knights on Bikes. Greg (Sully) loved his family and his friends fiercely and he was never shy to tell them. His granddaughters brought him incredible joy and pride. He was one of a kind. We love you Papa. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses in Mexico and Winnipeg for their kindness and compassion. Special thanks to the Chaput family. The funeral will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Parish of St. Timothy, 135 John Forsyth Road, Winnipeg, MB at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please "pay it forward" with kindness and think of Greg. Condolences & Memories (14 entries)

  • Tony and Janus would like to offer our deepest sympathies to Jackie for the loss of her life partner and gentle giant. We met Greg and Jackie at Los Ayala when we were all staying at the same resort. We have wonderful memories of times shared talking and laughing around the pool. Tony and I especially loved all of Greg's stories of when he drove film trucks and actors around in Winnipeg. We spoke of meeting again next year because of the wonderful shared experiences while at the resort. We are saddened by the loss of Greg and we will cherish the memories we have of him. - Posted by: Janus and Tony (newly made friends from Los Ayala) on: Apr 09, 2019

  • Sweet Sully - Always one of the happiest faces on our Winnipeg film crew- we will all miss that warm sunshine smile and the special ‘Sully Hugs”. Last time we were on set together he talked about turning 70 and I told him he is still just a teenager - He laughed at that but to all of us, he always seemed so young at heart. - Posted by: Kim Palmer (Friend) on: Mar 26, 2019

  • Bugsy and I got to know Greg better in Rincon this winter. Always with a smile and hugs. Bugsy and Greg both worked for CN so they enjoyed reminiscing about the good old days. We also learned how the transfer to Winnipeg took place which was hard but both he and Jackie made many new friends . Bugsy and I wish our friendship could have developed even further. He will be missed. - Posted by: Lise and Bugsy(Grumpy) (Friends) on: Mar 26, 2019
