Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGILLES ALFRED FORTIER It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gilles Fortier at Riverview Health Centre, Winnipeg on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 86 years. He leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife of 61 years, Marie-Paule (nee Jubinville), their children: Dolaine Thomas (John), Corinne (Mario) Toupin, Carole Fortier, Ernest (Rachelle) Fortier, Roland (Candy) Fortier, Fernand (Donna) Fortier and Danette (Scott) Cameron, 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his brothers, Armand and Clement (Yvonne), sisters, Helene Hayeck, Sr. Cecile Fortier, o.m.e, Roselyne O'Brien, sisters-in-law, Germaine Garand, Delphine Magne, Gisele Messner, Anita Johnson, Louise, Aline and Ella Jubinville. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 29, 2019 at Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. Interment will follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Riverview Health Centre for the excellent care and compassion given to Gilles over the last three months. Gilles my good buddy, So sorry to here your passing. We had such a great time growing in Manitoba. There is not enough page here to tell you how much we will miss you. I am honored to know such a sweet man who loved to tell his life story. I'am very happy to have had the opportunity to sit with him on many occasions just to say even nothing at all.
