JOHN HENRY CORKISH We are sad to announce that John passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at the Grace Hospital. John is survived by his loving wife Dorothy Corkish, nee Robson. He will be missed by friends and many relatives of the Corkish and Robson families. John was born in the Isle of Man on November 4, 1924. A charter member of the North American Manx Association (since 1977), he met his future wife at the annual picnic. A long-term member of the maintenance group of the St. James School Division, he is remembered with affection by students, teachers and staff for his hard work and cheerful presence. In retirement John and Dorothy spent many happy years travelling and went on many cruises. The next cruise was always planned before the present one was completed. In recent years they moved to a senior apartment and continued their social activities. A family get together was held in 2017 to celebrate 50 years of marriage. We will all miss John and his quiet humour and smile. At John's request, a funeral will not be held. A celebration of John's life will be held in July this year. You may remember John with a donation to the Grace Hospital, Winnipeg.
