TIMOTHY GEORGE BRABANT September 4, 1998 - March 22, 2019 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Timothy Brabant. Left to mourn his passing is his mother Wendy Brabant; love of his life Bria Yerek; his grandfather Walter Bezpalko; aunts, Susan (Ron) Mamchuk, Diane (Ken) Kranston, Kathy (Marc) Mckay, Judy (Bob) Moir; uncles, Greg (Chris) Brabant, Edward (Paula) Bezpalko; and Bria's parents, Darren (Connie) Yerek. Along with numerous cousins and second cousins. He was predeceased by his father Glen Brabant; grandmothers, Colleen Brabant and Steffie Bezpalko; grandfather George Brabant; and uncle Gary Brabant. Timothy was an amazing man. His easy going and respectful attitude, his warm and kind personality, sense of humour, hard work ethic, made him well loved and respected by so many. He loved music of all types. His favourite sports were golf, baseball, hockey and ultimate Frisbee. He also loved to work on home improvements and working on cars. Spending time with family, friends and with Bria was his greatest joy. There will be a celebration of Timothy's life on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Windsor Park Collegiate Gymnasium, 1015 Cottonwood Road. At the request of the family, casual dress is requested and many will be wearing tribute shirts to his favourite bands Rush, Tragically Hip or any other musical shirt. Special thank you to the Winnipeg Fire Department, the Paramedics, Health Sciences Center Emergency and Trauma team and nurse Heather, for all their support during our time of need. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his favourite charities, Manitoba Mutts Rescue and Spirit of Hope. • I was very saddened to hear of Timothy's passing. I recognized his beautiful mischievous smile right away, the same one he had at CTK school as a young child. It sounds like he grew into a lovely young man and those around him were truly blessed to have known him. Mrs. Brabant, Bria and all who knew him, you are and will remain in my prayers and I wish you comfort from your beautiful memories of Tim. - Posted by: Christine Kist (Former grade school French teacher) on: Apr 06, 2019

  • We met Tim through Competitive golf and I was always impressed with his class, kindness and excellent sportsmanship. His social composure spoke of an outstanding upbringing, and I remember mentioning to his Dad regarding how impressed I was with Tim. His dad was always very proud of him and clearly enjoyed Tim’s athletic pursuits and love of laughter! We will all miss Tim and our condolences to your family and loved ones. The Glass Family is thinking of you all. - Posted by: Jennifer Glass (Friend) on: Apr 02, 2019

  • I first met Tim when he was in grade 9, I coached the grade 10 team, his coach had to leave early so he asked me to take over. Couldn't believe how tall he was and how nice of a kid he was. I had the pleasure of coaching Tim in grade 10 and grade 12, one of the nicest kids I've ever coached. Tim was always willing to help anyway he could on and off the court. Going to miss you son. - Posted by: Keith Lynch (Basketball Coach) on: Apr 02, 2019

  • His smile and giggle could light up the class. Tim was such a fun kid to watch in the gym. He loved to golf and he loved to talk about golf in the mornings on the playground with me! So very sorry for your loss. Our condolences. - Posted by: Gobert Family (School friends ) on: Apr 01, 2019

  • I remember Timmy as a little boy at a Brabant family Christmas. He came rushing in, so cute and lively, and instantly became the center of attention with his “beloved” Bob the Builder toys. This is truly heartbreaking. Such a lovely young man with a promising future, taken far too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with Wendy at this very difficult time. - Posted by: Shelley McKay (Sister/sister-in-law of Marc and Kathy McKay ) on: Mar 30, 2019

  • My deepest condolences Wendy, to you and all that loved Timmy aka(squid kid.) The hardest pain to bear, is that of losing a child. Much love to you. - Posted by: Christine Keller (Old family friend ) on: Mar 30, 2019

  • My sincere and deepest sympathies go out to Wendy, and Bria, and the entire family during this most difficult time. Although I did not know them personally, I met Wendy via social media, and saw all the love she had for her handsome son through chat and pictures of him. Tim is now resting peacefully with his Dad Glen surrounded by beautiful angels. My love and prayers go out to the entire family - Posted by: Donna Dailey (Friend of Tim's Mom Wendy) on: Mar 30, 2019

  • Wendy and Bria, we are so sorry to hear of Timmy’s (even though he towered over me he’ll always be remembered as Timmy to us). He was truly a joy to coach and be around. He knew how to get a laugh out of the team as well as come thru with the key play. He played for the love of the sport. We will miss his cheeky grin and playful attitude. I can picture Tim and Glen strolling down the front 9 of heavens course now. Rest In Peace Timmy. You will be missed. - Posted by: Manny and Deane (Coach) on: Mar 30, 2019

  • We are so very sorry , This is when there are no words. Not a word can ease this pain. The one thing which offers a mere acceptance is the comfort in knowing Timothy is with dad, blessed and resting peacefully in heaven where we will all be together again one day. Please take care of yourselves, Jim and Karen xox - Posted by: Jim Robbins and Karen Evans Robbins (Friend of Timothy’s father Glen ) on: Mar 30, 2019
